Knoerdel Foundation Specialists offers multiple driving opportunities for anyone with a Class B CDL who prefer local deliveries. Our trucks include: a gravel slinger truck, a panel moving truck, and a roll-off truck. These vehicles require drivers who have at minimum the manual and air brakes endorsements. We seek high energy individuals with the initiative to improve each day.
A typical day for panel and roll-off drivers at KFS begins with employees arriving at the company location through the use of their personal vehicles with employees arriving around 7 am. Before leaving for the job sites, drivers of the panel and roll-off trucks are responsible for loading necessary materials onto the company vehicles. All drivers are responsible for conducting pre-trip inspections to ensure the safety of the vehicles. Any concerns regarding the vehicle should immediately be reported to the supervisor. Drivers are then responsible for safely and efficiently delivering materials between jobs. A typical day consists of 2 deliveries to be transferred from one job site to another. Drivers end their day by returning to the company location around 4 pm.
Gravel slinger drivers follow a slightly different schedule that still involves local deliveries. Prior to leaving for the job site, gravel slinger drivers may load gravel into their trucks using a loader. This prevents drivers from having to get loaded at a quarry. During their day, drivers will deliver and unload the gravel into basements, sidewalks, and around plumbing. After they finish unloading, they must efficiently travel to the quarry to receive a load of gravel to deliver again. Drivers will typically deliver 4 loads a day with employees returning around 4 pm.
