Pouring a level, true and plumb, cast-in-place concrete wall requires precision and accuracy. Trust KFS with our generations of experience in masonry and a proven process.
THE KFS PROCESS
Trust KFS with our generations of experience in masonry and a proven process. KFS starts by confirming the specs and all the details not on a blueprint such as utility sleeves, windows and doors. Special footing requirements are considered, including footing jumps. With a scheduled on-site visit, we will advise of any concerns for ground conditions and request engineer services.
OUR TECHNOLOGY
The next step after our systematic gathering of information is to input our findings into industry-leading CAD software that creates an analysis and site diagram. The output provides an accurate expectation of materials and reduces time to prepare the jobsite. The final stage of preparation is to input the software diagrams into a robotic total station that ensures every detail in your poured concrete. The robot imprints the jobsite directly, reducing errors and mistakes.
FRENCH DRAINS
Avoid the water problems of older homes like soggy yards and wet basements by installing french drains. These are placed inside and outside the footer with a pipe that diverts water away from your new home. Drains are then backfilled with #2 gravel using a slinger truck. By the way, the name comes from Henry French, a judge and farmer in Concord, Massachusetts, who promoted the idea of farm drainage in his 1859 book!
POURED WALLS
Our expertise with aluminum forms results in a straight, smooth and uniform concrete surface whether building traditional style homes or custom homes designed with curved foundations. The goal is within ¼” of plumb and ¼” of level supported by our CAD software and robotic layout.
KFS delivers quality with minimal environmental impact leveraging EZ-Footings® aluminum systems for footers and foundations. High-grade aluminum forms hold a straight line in any weather condition, allowing the clean lines to greatly reduce any rubbing and patching that may be required. Aluminum forms are reusable, thereby reducing the cost of waste collection, lumber and concrete. Homeowners benefit from a quality poured wall with great savings in labor, lumber and concrete.
Our proven process for poured concrete walls applies to single family homes as well as commercial townhouses and apartment buildings.
